The legacy of Watoto Church and their critically acclaimed Watoto Children’s choir requires no introduction – it speaks for itself.
After a successful world tour with their vibrant, colorful and lively “Oh What Love” album, they announced that in January 2017, their new production would be ready for the world. This they revealed on their website saying that the Signs and Wonders Production celebrates the joy of salvation. They continued to say that,
“The choir, whose members are orphans and other vulnerable children, will present new worship music from Watoto Church in Uganda and invite audiences to expect an encounter with God. Through the power of their testimonies the children will share stories of how their lives have been changed, and how they have been called into a life of purpose to transform their communities. Each story will declare the miracle of transformation – from darkness to light; from despair to hope; from loss to purpose; from fear to faith.”
Early this year (2017), the choir took home a Victoria Gospel Academy (VIGA) Award (Techno-House-Rock Category) for their performance of “Be Exalted” a single that has received massive airplay here in Uganda.
The album borrows inspiration from the Bible verse,
“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.”
Isaiah 8: 18 (NASB)
If you doubt God’s work through a community of believers who are practical in their way of expressing love for a hurting world, visit the Watoto Children’s homes or any of the Watoto Church campuses in Kampala, Gulu and Juba. The testimony of the children is often told in a compelling production. We are more than certain that “Signs and Wonders” will richly bless the world.
We here at Ug Gospel Life were extremely thrilled to watch the music video for “Beat Of Love” a song from Signs and Wonders production.
