Lena Price calls out unhygienic musicians and ministers.

2018 has kicked off with a lot happening in the industry. With a resolve from the team here at Ug Gospel Life to bring you the most relevant content, we were alerted to an outcry by “I Am Light” hit singer Lena Price.

The singer who is known for some breath-taking outfits, and funky hairstyles, came out to right a wrong in the music industry. She has boldly called out her fellow musicians and other ministers who she said are unclean and are often exuding an unbearable stench. This comes weeks after Lena Price among others rocked the “MADS Company” fashion red-carpet with glamorous outfits. This was an event that took place at Miracle Centre Cathedral with top fashion gurus in attendance – more noticeably, Joram Muzira.

“When you decide to be a Gospel singer, you become a minister and a representative of heaven.” – Lena Price

Speaking in Luganda, she said that people should know that once they are ministers of the Gospel, they are leaders. She went on to claim that she knows a number of people (singers) who do not do even the minimum of brushing their teeth, and self-grooming. This, she said, has nothing to do with the availability or lack of money. In fact, she revealed that Owino is a good place to find good clothes to wear.

Given the applause in the comments on this post, this is something many people were perhaps itching to get out of their chests.

Why can’t Gospel musicians learn from each other, or watch how some of the tip secular artists take care of their personal hygiene? Why can’t some musicians go to the gym, like Lyrical Mycheal, and put their bodies in the right shape? Some people eat unhealthy foods, others are gluttonous.

Lena Price, in a post that many are receiving with admiration, has cut herself from the crowd. In fact, she has asked those who will continue neglecting their personal hygiene to desist from approaching her.

This fight, she said, is not hers alone to fight. She has asked various exemplary artists like, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Exodus, Jackie Senyonjo, Jremiah, Zabuli, among others to help her spread this message.

Lena Price also asked media houses, presenters and pastors to join this cause by passing this very timely message to whoever it may concern. It is for this reason that we here at Ug Gospel Life found it appropriate to bring this to you.

Katalina Mezu, added her voice to this message, saying,

“You are a wise lady. I respect and love you. hahaha..not forgetting funny and blunt in all honesty.”
