First things first.
Baby Gloria who is now in her teens will be in concert concert on the 10th of September 2016, at Uganda Museum. According to the information that we gathered, it will be a Family Day Music Festival featuring Levixone (with whom they sung, Save A Life), Ruyonga (who she features in a song whose video we will talk about here), Holy Keane, Coopy Bly and comedian Teacher Mpamire among others.
It is particularly interesting to note that Baby Gloria who many insist is no-longer a baby, is going for the more urban and contemporary gospel music sound as opposed to that of her mother Betty Nakibuuka. This sound is so perfect for the new generation of gospel music listeners. For reasons such as this, we highly respect Baby Gloria’s mother for her mentor-ship of the 14 year old into something that works for her.
Review of The Baby Gloria – D. N. A Music Video ft Ruyonga.
Can you begin to talk about this spectacular music video without mentioning the extreme but right make-over that the teenager received for the in-front-of-the-camera moments? Can you watch this music video and not give a thumbs up to whoever styled Baby Gloria, Ruyonga and the dancers? If you did not know that you could be a fashionista and stay Christian at the same time, Baby Gloria and her team proved you wrong because this is showed in the music video.
If you watch half of this music video, you might be led into believing that they are going for the idea of a great music video without a well-told story. They are quick to introduce Baby Gloria playing a nurse who directs a patient to Doctor Ruyonga who both examines and seems to be speaking into the patient’s life. The execution of this was spot on.
There is a part in the song where ‘our patient’ in the music video is directed to the hospital where she receives help. Well, the message is clear, if you find yourself lost, remember that you are created in God’s image and that is why Baby Gloria says God is a part of her DNA.
This is an amazing music video for a song that has become a favorite to many. It is already topping charts as we write. We won’t get into telling you how one of Africa’s best rappers, Ruyonga did a stellar performance in his verse. The way the two blend is a testamnet to the maturity of the two. Yes, we believe that Baby Gloria too is a mature artiste. She is the embodiment of the scripture,
“Let no man despise your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4: 12
