Pastor Stephen Kaweesa Of Yesu Akwagala & Father To Musicians Richy and Phila Passes On

The mood is sombre after vibrant celebrations of Jesus’s death and resurrection because the famous Kampala City Pastor, Stephen Kaweesa with two other ministers, Ed Pohlreich and Scott Volz passed on after their involvement in an accident. The unfortunate incident which led to the overturning of a Prado Tx car on a slope near the famous Yesu Akwagala Church claimed these precious lives on Easter Monday.

Seguku Worship Centre (Yesu Akwagala) church confirmed it in a statement on social media saying,
“We are sad to announce the death of our beloved Pastors and members of the WOMF board. Pastor Stephen Kaweesa, Scott Volz and Ed Pohlreich .”

This was further confirmed by Gospel minister Sami-K and DJ Twonjex on their own timelines on social media. The two sent their condolences. Pastor Stephen Kaweesa is the father to celebrated RnB, Soul and Gospel Singer Richy Kaweesa and Phila Kaweesa. Richy called for prayers saying,”On this day I’ve lost my dad (Stephen Kaweesa), pastor Ed and Scott… Pray for us… We desperately need God right now.” Phila, a gospel Dancehall and reggae artiste (one of Stephen Kaweesa’s sons) in response to the news said in a social media post

“My lovely dad pastor Stephen kaweesa left to be with the lord.
He is a man tht has served the lord all heartedly.
I bless the lord for dad. See you sme day.”

The loss of Stephen Kaweesa, Ed Pohlreich and Scott Volz are a great loss to this nation. Ed has for 27 years served World Outreach Ministry Foundation while Scott was a pastor. May their souls rest in eternal peace.

A one Vince Musisi posted:
These wonderful Pastors, fathers, grandparents and leaders that have impacted lives like mine for years. I celebrate your lives and I know you’re in heaven with the Lord. Please continue to Pray for Pastor Kawesas family  (father to Richy kawesa and Phil Kawesa the musicians and all of us) Scott’s family and Pastor Ed’s family back in Maple valley Wa. Rest In peace men of God.”

Uganda continues to mourn and celebrate their lives. May The Lord reward their labor of love when they ministered to the Saints, poor, widowed and orphans.
