Kimera Speaking About His Inspiration For Gwe Wange.

2014 saw the introduction of Kimera to the Ugandan music scene with Gwe Wange which was followed by Slow Down and equally great song as a solo project. We are not sure whether Kimera whose real name is Sam Kimera is planning an album or something for his growing fans but all we know is, we would love to find out what that would sound like.

In this video, Sam Kimera who got a node at the just concluded HIT Awards in the category of Rising Star, says, “Gwe Wange means You Are Mine and I wrote the song as a love song.” He continues to say he wrote it for his then fiancé but now wife and they used it for their first dance during the wedding day.

Of course, a few of our Christian brothers who object to christian singers producing love songs will learn, as Kimera says, “In a world full of songs that tell you about objectifying a woman and are more based on lust than love,  I felt inspired to write a song about a genuine love that I have for my wife.” You are encouraged to dedicate this song to your wife and to those who are unmarried, wait patiently for the day when you will be able to show the whole world your special one.

Here is Slow Down from Kimera.

Watch and share the video with those who may have not yet watched it.
