News hit the Ugandan mainstream and social media on Monday night of the passing of one of Uganda’s musicians, AK 47 . He is the brother to Jose Chameleon, Pallaso, and Weasle. Reports suggest that the singer collapsed at a Kampala bar and was rushed to Nsambya hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Since the breaking of this sad news many have gone ahead to send in their condolences. His last post on instagram reads, “Nze Ndi Mulokole Nafuuka Mulokole AK Mulokole Naawe Fuuka Mulokole… In God we trust 100% 100%. Look for ma latest Gospel Single #NdiMulokole #CyanDone”
This was posted roughly seven hours before his passing and translated to English language it means, “I am a born again Christian. I became saved. I, AK is born again. You should become a born again christian too.” We pray that those are not just words from his latest song but a state of heart that was given over to Christ. The goodness of God leads us to repentance. We do hope and pray he gave his life to Christ.
The Ndi Mulokole song, which we got a chance of listening to is an upbeat Dancehall song that has AK 47 the Ugandan singer say he is born again, while a different voice says he is deceiving. He says in the song that no one will sway him from God in the Ndi Mulokole song. He says his life changed after he gave his life to Christ. He goes on to mention that, Maama Fiina, Wilson Bugembe, his brother Jose Chameleon, Pallaso and other artists are born again Christians.
We leave you with the scripture,
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
James 4:14 “Whereas you know not what shall be tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.”
Job 7:7 “Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”
And finally from Ecclesiastes 12: “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them;”
With those scriptures for you to meditate on and many more if you pick up your Bibles, we say, may His soul Rest In Eternal peace and my the God of comfort offer solace to the family friends and fans. God bless.
