What took place at Power Fm’s Evening Of Worship And Prayer for PhatFest 2014

IMG_33761986600405Power Fm Uganda is set to hold a mega celebration of God and The Gospel in a concert that needs no introduction. This being a God engineered event, the team did not want to take it for granted that it would just happen. They organised an evening of Praise,  Worship and Prayer at All Saint Cathedral. We were glad to be there as partners in sharing with all of you what was taking place.

Despite the fact that there was another event at neighbouring Watoto Church, by 7:00pm a number of people were already in the church and eagerly waiting to corporately call upon the name of God. IMG_23709495822872The All Saints Cathedral Pastor to the Youth was more than excited to welcome us and declare the event open.

The team that led at this Praise, Worship and Prayer event included worship leaders from Watoto Church, Deliverance Church, Worship Harvest Church, Pastor Robert Kayanja’s Miracle Centre Cathedral and Musician Hum Kay. We were in capable hands as, praise, worship and prayer filled the Anglican church. This being an event that encourages us to stand out, we broke through the barriers of denominations, churches, and all we saw was the name of Jesus lifted up.

There was a session of prayer that saw Power fm’s DJ Twonjex, Ronnie Habassa, Cooper of Gway, Brian Lubega, and other artists and presenters get onto the stage to be prayed for.

By the time we were done and many people were leaving, the Power fm desk that was outside the church was the place to be to get a ticket.

The event was dedicated to God and we know, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city,  the watchman waketh but in vain.” Now continue to standout and tag us @UgGospelLife on your twitter conversations.

Before you leave, what are your expectations for this year’s Phat Fest?  (Leave comment on blog and feel free to share the blog post too.)  Thanks for coming here to read this.
